Creating palettes from photos
Any image can become a palette. A Book of Colors finds the dominant colors in a photo and lays them out as a palette you can apply, edit, and save.
- Open the Create tab and choose Photo.
- Pick an image from your library, or point the camera at something: a painting, a room, a sunset.
- The app extracts the dominant colors and shows them as a palette, weighted the way they appear in the image.
- Apply it to the canvas, edit it like any other palette, or save it to your book.
Photos are processed entirely on your device. A source photo is kept, and synced through your own private iCloud, only when you save that palette.
