Creating palettes from photos

Any image can become a palette. A Book of Colors finds the dominant colors in a photo and lays them out as a palette you can apply, edit, and save.

  1. Open the Create tab and choose Photo.
  2. Pick an image from your library, or point the camera at something: a painting, a room, a sunset.
  3. The app extracts the dominant colors and shows them as a palette, weighted the way they appear in the image.
  4. Apply it to the canvas, edit it like any other palette, or save it to your book.

Photos are processed entirely on your device. A source photo is kept, and synced through your own private iCloud, only when you save that palette.
