Syncing between iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Your saved palettes, photo extractions, generated palettes, and likes sync across every device signed into your iCloud, including source photos. Sync runs through your own private iCloud database; nothing is shared with the developer or anyone else.
For sync to work, each device needs to be signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled for A Book of Colors. There's nothing else to set up.
If two devices look out of step:
- Check that both are signed into the same Apple Account.
- Check the sync status indicator in the app, and trigger a manual sync from there.
- Give it a minute on a good connection, and bring the app to the foreground on both devices.
Edits made on two devices at once are merged safely; if the app ever needs you to pick a source of truth, it will ask rather than guess.
